Welcome to Max Did It
People are thinking in stories.
Visual storytelling is an important element in an increasing number of disciplines. This is the case not only in obvious media like movies or series. Advertisements, news articles, educational videos and web designs aim to reach the audience not only on a factual, but an emotional basis, as well.
Illustrations make it possible to tell stories in an entertaining, easily comprehendable and memorable way.
Drawings will give you a freedom when communicating ideas and content that is not always available in other media. This way, you can grow your audience and reach target groups that would be beyond your grasp under different circumstances.
Who am I?
Welcome to Max Did It, my website and online portfolio. My name is Max Knoblich and I work as a freelance artist and illustrator.
I have been a big fan of comics, animation and concept artwork since my childhood. The ability to create characters and worlds on paper and digitally and to transport ideas and tales this way is fascinating to me.
It has always been important to me to understand the things that fascinate me. That is why I have started early on to look behind the scenes of this medium, soaking up any information about the tricks of the trade whenever I could find them. Due to this, drawing has been a natural part of my life for decades now.
What I have to offer
On this website, you will find samples from my work from different creative areas in which I have already been able to cut my teeth.
My portfolio with a selection of projects that I have contributed to can be found here.
Maybe your project would benefit from professional illustrations or a mascot designed to your specifications, too? Don’t hesitate to contact me in case you are looking for an illustrator, character designer or concept artist.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

This is a look behind the scenes for the creation of the wimmelpicture on my home page.
Visitors of my website should understand at first sight that I'm all about drawings and illustrations. I also want to convey what I am capable of achieving in that area. For these reasons one of the first elements that is visible on the home page is a picture with 92 distinct drawn characters. In the center of it is my logo, which I'm just finishing to draw.
